Raymond

Raymond Ruyoka, is public health specialist with bias in environmental health and climate
change with more than 15 years’ experience in advocacy for Sexual Reproductive Health and
Climate Change action in addition to vast linkages to regional and global fora which he has
overtime been engaging advancing Population, Health and Environment integrated agenda.
Raymond is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of YADNET Uganda, a network of 135
Civil society organizations working with and for young people on SRHR/Family Planning and
Climate Change operating in Uganda. Raymond is the Regional Director of YADNET Africa which
operates in 15 countries in Africa Raymond is also the chairperson for Global Alliance on Health
and Pollution (www.gahp.net ) which brings together different stakeholders from the globe to
discuss Health access and Pollution reduction to save humanity. Through the climate and health
advocacy, Raymond has engaged governments to prioritize Health sector climate resilience with
increased access to sexual reproductive health/family planning and environmental
sustainability for sustainable development. Raymond Ruyoka holds a Master’s Degree in Public
Health and currently pursuing post graduate on Institutional Management and Leadership
course in addition to degree in education and counselling.In addition, Raymond sits and
represents on a number national and international boards. Raymond is the vice chairperson of
Global Alliance on Health and Pollution global body for safety of Health from pollution based in
Geneva, Board member of Uganda Network of AIDS Services Organization, Member of Global
Climate and Health Alliance and member of SDGs Advisory Board of Uganda.
Raymond passion for SDGs, Health and Climate Change has seen him participate and influence
global fora including Africa Regional Forum on SDGs, Climate Change conferences (COPs) and
High-Level Political Forum in addition to national advocacy engagements.
